On this episode of Today’s Talk with Erika… Army Veteran Mike Blanco is a decorated and accomplished senior military operations officer with 18 years professional and military experience. His expertise extends to the areas of overseeing and leading daily operations, forecasting training, resource, and personnel requirements, and monitoring organizational capabilities for the purpose of optimizing performance. Mike earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from FIU and a Master’s in Business Administration and Finance from Syracuse University. He had a highly successful career in finance before ultimately answering the call of military service. He would go on to serve in several command billets to include reconnaissance commander of the 82nd Airborne division. Mike would ultimately plan and execute over 1000 security and combat operations over the course of multiple deployments to the middle east. He is the recipient of numerous military awards and decorations and was selected for the Army’s prestigious Project Warrior program and Congressional National Security Panel. Mike retired from military service following injuries sustained due to a parachute malfunction that occurred during a training exercise. He now engages in veteran advocacy and works as a freelance business and management consultant.
